About the place
A homestay in the middle of a coffee estate
Rai Cottage sits in the middle of a 4.5 acre coffee plantation in Suntikoppa, Coorg. The cottages have earthen tiled roofs and red brick walls, and the greenery around them keeps the air cool and calm through the year.
The rooms are spacious and tidy, with the basic essentials. Meals are homemade, local and Mangalorean style, cooked with spices grown around the cottage. At night the weather turns chilly and you can sit by a bonfire under a starry sky.
The host is a farmer. Coffee, pepper, paddy, bananas, oranges and wild fruit trees all grow on the estate, and you are welcome to walk the trails and see how they are grown.

Getting here
Two kilometres in from the highway
Rai Cottage is in Athur Nallur, Suntikoppa, about 2 km inside from the Bengaluru–Mysuru–Madikeri highway. Turn off the highway at Suntikoppa and follow the road via Kambibana into the estate.
Parking is inside the estate. If you are unsure of the turn, call us on +916364323357 and we will guide you in.
